Helping your students learn English effectively from video games

Real English for Gamers content is largely designed for out-of-class use. There are times, however, when teachers may want to use a video to supplement their curriculum. Our grammar section, for example, has dozens of real-world examples of key grammar topics.

For the most part, we don’t expect teachers to take up valuable class time with our gaming content – with a few exceptions. First, we suggest you help your students use their out-of-class gaming time more productively, especially to improve their English language skills. Secondly, we suggest you set up a system whereby your students can share interesting bits and pieces of what they learn online. The first unit below goes into both topics and there will be more in the future.
