Fortnite Explained: Words, phrases and sentences you might use

There is a lot of basic Fortnite vocabulary in this video that you should know. Not so many phrases and sentences.

I play loads of it. (I play lots of the game. I play Fortnite very, very often.)

glider – (noun) a light aircraft that flies without an engine

the ultimate goal – the final goal; the main goal

height advantage – being in a higher position than opposing players

pickaxe – (noun) a large tool consisting of a curved, pointed piece of metal with a long handle

ramp – (noun)  a surface connecting a higher and a lower level

shield – (noun) protection

rarity – (noun)  how difficult something is to find; something unusual or uncommon

chest – (noun) a box, usually with a lid, for storage, safekeeping of valuables, etc

med-kit – (noun) a small supply of medical items that gives you more health

launch pad – (noun) an item that allows you to fly up into the air

intricate – (adj)   having a lot of different parts and small details that fit together; complex; complicated

1v1 – one player against one player

grenade – (noun) a bomb that you can throw
